Information on course structure and demonstrations

Course Content

The courses are divided into a number of sections or folders, all of which are normally time released, that is, the progressive stages in the course are released every two weeks or so, depending upon the length of the course and availability. In certain circumstances the module may be released in two or three sections.

For the purpose of the sample courses, only a brief overview of each section will be displayed, bearing in mind that each section may contain a number of course files, bibliography and external links.

The format, content and progression of the courses are normally laid out in the following manner:

ˇ Course title and introduction

ˇ Current announcements regular updates and current information

ˇ Introducing course tutor personal details of tutor
ˇ Course information Overview and explanation of the course

ˇ Course documents Folders and files connecting to textual hand outs, illustrations, references and links

ˇ Assignments Information and helpful preparation hints on regular assignments or the one final assignment if required

ˇ Bibliography Section on where to locate references, books. journals, online papers and references

ˇ External links Related further Internet websites

ˇ Communication virtual classroom and discussion forums, such as chat cafés, weekly forums and blogs.
