I would like this opportunity to introduce myself to you all.

I am an ex-Open Learning student so I hope that I have some knowledge and experience of distance learning that will be useful to you. I know the problems of working from home and the discipline needed to sit down and work when everyone else is enjoying themselves.

I have a B.Sc Econ Honours degree in Philosophy and a MPhil in aesthetics from the University of Wales Swansea. I also have a BA Open University (UK) degree.

I by no means claim that I will have the answers to all your questions, but I am in a good position to find out as I work most days with post-graduate students, tutors and lecturers in philosophy.

I now teach part time in the Department of Philosophy and for the Department of Adult Education in the University of Wales Swansea, but before this I was a nursery nurse and before that an art student. Hence, my interests are now in aesthetics and facilitating philosophical enquiry with children and adults.

I hope to have the opportunity of "meeting" you all on the courses.
